Stacking the Shelves #6 (Huge Book Haul • NBS Sale Edition)

This is a very very very late post. This should be posted last September but for some reasons which I didn't know why I didn't post any. Funny me.

This time for my Stacking the Shelves I will post the books that I bought last August during the National BookStore Cut-Price Sale. I prepared so hard for this event, I earned a lot of money enough for me to buy lot of books. So here it is

A Clash of Kings

The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In a Ship of Her Own Making

Dearly Devoted Dexter

Darkly Dreaming Dexter (not in the picture)

But wait there's more, that was just the books that I bought on the first day. Since it was a 2 weeks sale I came back after a week and bought some more.

The Sea of Monsters

The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland And Led The Revels There

The Curse of the Wendigo

And my hunt for a huge book haul adventure didn't end there. I flew to the second floor and went to BookSale (a bargain Book Store) and found these amazing titles.

Dead Is The New Black

Dead Is A State of Mind

White Cat (oh you can't imagine my reaction when I found this)

The Alchemy of Forever

That's it! 17 books that will occupy me 'til next year (without counting the books that I received last October and this month which I will post later). Until next time. See ya!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

It's been a while since my last book hauling. I haven't did a book haul last month 'cause I really got nothing. Usually I will post this at the end of the month but I guess I will not add a book anymore this month. So, this is all I got.

BOUGHT:

The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman

Goodreads Best Historical Fiction for 2012

Bought this for about $3. It's a great deal and it's on Hardback, and it's been on my wishlist since the first it came out. Hoooray for me!

Gone (Gone #1) by Michael Grant

Special edition of Gone. I saved a lot of money. This book is part of my Catch-up reading challenge on Books ,Bones, and Buffy.

A World Without Heroes (Beyonders #1) by Brandon Mull

This was not planned, but look at the price, who's not gonna tempt by it. In fact I want to read his Fablehaven series.

WON:

Becoming a Superhero by Oliver Galang

(Won on Goodreads)

My first Non-fiction book. It's a memoir of Mr. Oliver Galang about his childhood growing up as a military brat up to the difficulties on his life like gambling, etc.. He even wrote a note on it.

Hunger Games Magnetic Bookmark Set

Won from Helena @ Accepted Wisdom

May the odds be ever in your favor! I was really thrilled, for 21 years I existed in this world I haven't knew that there was a magnetic bookmark created. I was so happy that I finally introduced to it, plus it's Hunger Games. Helena even put a letter on it which I so much appreciated. She's really a nice lady. Thanks Helena! :)

That's it folks! Thanks for dropping by.

Stacking the Shelves #3

Look what do I got.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

in Hardcover just worth P80.00 or $2 in good condition. Srsly? I just saved 90%. I feel like I'm the luckiest man that night.

The Falls by Ian Rankin

So I found out that this one is the book #12 in the series, but never mind I have seen more of Ian Rankin's books looming at that Bookstore, and it just cost P45.00 or $1 and it really looks like brand new.Though it's a mystery thriller investigation thing which is out of my interest (except Detective Conan which is an anime), I guess this time, just this time I should go out of my comfort zone.

Stacking the Shelves #2 (BookSale Edition)

Look what we got here! It's.........

Finally! The bookstore that sells unused and pre-loved books with a huge discount are here, they sell up to 50 - 90% off on all books, even on hardbacks. I can't resist. So what do I got?

The Quest (Ancient Egypt #4) by Wilbur Smith

Dragon War (Eberron: The Draconic Prophecies #3) by James Wyatt
(the cover is epic, really epic)

and tantararan..

I was really overwhelmed when I saw this one, it was unexpected.

The Dead & the Gone (The Last Survivors #2) by Susan Beth Pfeffer

Now, know what my problem is? I think you already guessed.

Where do I find their first book in hardbacks in a huge discounted price?!

Well I guess I need to search more.

Stacking the Shelves (December)

If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it and Stacking The Shelves is a good way to express your undying enthusiasm for those titles!

It's a very late post. It's all my pc's fault. This is my Stacking the Shelves for the month of December and this is very first. It's suppose to be a weekly post, but because of my financial issues I will do a Monthly Book Hoarding. So, these are what I got for the month of December.
