What's New - Young Adult to Big Screen

It is now confirmed that Tim Burton will direct a film adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

The movie will be in theaters by July 2015. Screenwriter of X-Men: First Class Jane Goldman will write the script.

This movie will be really amazing, who isn't excited for that?

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I guess everyone knows about this, but for those who didn't The Maze Runner will be in theaters by February 2014. The film is being directed by Wes Ball starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Will Poulter, and many more. Well, honestly I didn't know these guys, but hell yeah I didn't even know Jennifer Lawrence before the Hunger Games movie.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Rumor says that Tahereh Mafi's dystopian novel Shatter Me will also be in a film by 20th Century Fox. There's no confirmation yet about the casts and stuff.

I'm sure everyone of us are looking forward for this novel to hit the big screen.

What's New - Graphic Novel Cover Art Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Wow! I was surprised, my favorite book Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is going to have its own "Graphic Novel" (well, I found out this was a news a year ago). But yesterday Ransom Riggs posted on his Tumblr account about the upcoming of his graphic novel has now officially have its cover art.

The cover looks awesome, isn't it? I finally known what a Peregrine looks like, and Jacob, and the peculiar children, I can Identify them. And the photos they were on the book.

I haven't bought any graphic novels or manga, this one will surely be my first. And oh, take note, the sequel of Miss Peregrine will be published on January 2014.

What's New - Blog Header

So If you haven't notice I changed my URL and my Blog name from Book 'n the Geek to LET ME INTRODUCE YOU. It's a long story on why I changed it.

I also decided to have a blog re-design and I will make it all by myself, I don't want to spend a lot of money 'cause I know I can do it. By the help of Photoshop everything is possible.

So I'm gonna start with my Blog Header. I want to share it with you guys, especially for those who want to have their own blog re-design. First, I did is to sketch my own avatar.

(I don't have a scanner, I used my phone camera instead. Be resourceful right?). So from this, by the use of photoshop comes this

They call it "LineArt". This tutorial from Youtube is a great help, he even have a full tutorial on how to do it. Here is the link. Next thing I have to do is to Color it

There's a lot of tutorials on Youtube or in Google that can help you on how to color it and do the shading. This video is a great help. Just be familiar with "layering".

Actually it takes me a week to familiarized the basics on photoshop like this different tools, brushes, layering, etc. Just research, practice, do the trial and error, and wola! you will be surprised that you finally did it.

I know everyone of us wants to have an epic header, for inspirations I will leave you this link and this. If you want to challenge yourself then nothing is impossible, if you want a simple one then let it be simple.
